Nursing With Courage

Homegrown Families Breast & Chest Feeding Class

Nursing With Courage

This will be a space for parents to connect with each other as well as get informational support feeding their babies from Corey Graywood a Certified Lactation Counselor. This one day class is to build connection with other families and have a space to talk about things that may come up around feeding your baby. We support FED babies, whether that be chest/breastfeeding or formula, all are welcome!

Come join other families for Nursing With Courage!

Parents know this all too well: Nobody puts baby in a corner—at least not when they’re hungry. Regardless of what time it is, what you’re doing, how public a place it is or when they last ate, when baby wants their milk, you’re quick to answer the call. And if you happen to be breastfeeding, the challenges just multiply. Latch issues? Sore nipples? Low milk supply? No one said breastfeeding was easy, but man can it be one stressful, beautiful, exhausting, fulfilling journey.

This one day class is intended for pregnant people 34 weeks and those already in postpartum. Registration includes two adult parents/guardians, partners encouraged to come to learn how to best support with feedings. New born babies are welcome.

Anyone is welcome no matter how you are feeding your baby. Are you lost or confused on what a “comfortable” “deep” latch should feel like? Are you three days postpartum and have cracked nipples? Have you just transitioned home from the hospital and can’t remember a thing your nurse or lactation consultant said?
